Educational Boards of Punjab have
demanded delaying online system for a year.
The
Chairman of the Boards Committee says Rs 500 million could not be arranged
required to fully introduce the online exam checking and calculation system.The
Committee, comprising members from all educational boards of the provinces,
have written a letter to the Punjab government to convey their demand.Mehr
Bashir Ahmed, the Committee Chairman and head of the Gujranwala Board, sent the
letter to Secretary Higher Education Commission Punjab Ijaz Munir.The letter
reads that the financial situation of all educational boards is thin, while the
staff is also not fully trained. It says that immediate implementation of the
online system is not possible; therefore the government should delay it for a
year.The Committee has estimated the cost of full implementation of the system
at Rs 500 million. The Committee decided that if the government wanted
immediate implementation of the online system, it could provide Rs500milliongrant.
